In this walk, we will contemplate the fantastic view over the Tejo River inlet, where we will see Costa da Caparica, Cabo Espiche, Cristo Rey, Ponte 25 de Abril and other beautiful places. To the east we can see the Palácio da Pena and Castelo dos Mouros, and to the west, we can see the Guincho, Cascais and more. The final part of the walk is through the beautiful path of Las Pontes, from the Matos Piedade forest road, to the dam of the Rio da Mula.
Trilho das Pontes is a well-known path for mountaineers. It’s part of a long route of paths in Sierra de Sinta that are separated by the fans of this modality. This is one of the most beautiful roads that we will cross, because it follows the Ribeiro da Mula almost from its source, and ends in the Albufeira dam. Penedos of Alvante. Penedos do Alvante is very characteristic rock formation in yellow shades. It’s a large set of boulders of multiple shapes and superimposed on each other, which provides pleasant surprises.
It’s easy to climb and offers a fantastic view of the southern side of the Mountains. Pedra Amarela. Central rock in the Sintra Mountains that has a privileged view over almost the whole mountain range. It has a geodetic frame of 3rd scale for military cartographic triangulation. Due to its strategic positioning it has a watch tower for fire detection.
