The Caldeiras da Lagoa das Furnas is one of most visited areas by the tourists that visit the São Miguel Islands, at Azores and this path will take you there.

The walk starts at the viewpoint Pico de Ferro, where you can have a broad overview of the stunning volcano crater of the Furnas Valley and the vast mountains that surround this area.

The trail is always downward until you reach Lagoa das Furnas. Along the way you can appreciate the great variety of the endemic species like the Laurel, Azores, and Heather among others.
