This walk begins at Ribeira Quente on a dirt path and it will guide walkers to a village named Povoação.

Along the path you will find various species of plants, such as mahogany and acacia, gracing this entire trail. Also, you will be surprised by the magnificent views over Pico da Vara, Pico Bartolomeu and Sete Lombas da Povoação. Stay a while and enjoy the beautiful landscape of all the places and get to know São Miguel Island from a different prespective.

Before you reach Povoação, you can visit the ruins of an old mill and a marvelous Iron Bridge, a century old bridge over Ribeira de Pelanes.
