The trail Poça do Bacalhau (Cod Puddle) begins at Miradouro das Lagoas viewpoint, on the Flores Island. Before starting the walk enjoy admiring the fascinating view of the imposing Caldeira Comprida.

Along the path, you will find several species of endemic flora, especially low-lying until you reach the area of the Caldeira Seca, which offers a breathtaking view. The path continues toward Poça do Bacalhau, passing through several areas of unique beauty, as Caldeira Seca, the cliff overlooking the Fajã Grande and Ribeira das Casas stream. The path may be sometimes a bit slippery so extra caution is advised.

Upon reaching Poça do Bacalhau where this trail ends, immerse yourself in this fascinating environment and enjoy the majestic waterfall with almost 300 feet tall. Enjoy this wonderful place and absorb the grandeur of nature!
